Formed in the summer of 2003, this Vancouver based urban groove quintet combines the styles of jazz, electronica, drum & bass, hip-hop and dub reggae.
Extended improvisation and ambient textures are combined with rythmic concepts from Africa, Afro-Cuban and Indian styles to create a ´tripped out-down to earth° contemporary sound. Influences include Herbie Hancock, The Roots, Medeski, Martin and Wood, Talvin Singh and Burning Spear to name just a few.
The group is comprised of: Mark Campbell (bass guitar), Micheal Lowe (turn-tables), Brad Shipley (guitar), Laurence Santos (keyboards\ analog synths) and Nathan Wyley (drums\ percussion).
