Freeflow, a creative coalescence - a conscious construction of improvised influence. Dynamic rhythm fused with soul, reggae, and rap, this rock and roll groove machine proves "You Can Do Almost Anything ..."
For over five years and two albums, Freeflow have been serving up their fusion of funk across Canada, to Mexico, to World Class Festivals, sharing the stage with luminaries such as Toots and the Maytals, K°Naan, Kinnie Star, Big Sugar, and Spearhead. Their electrifying live show offers up ass shakin° grooves that get the most jaded jumping and has turned many a sold out crowd into frenzied disciples of the Vancouver, Canada based act.
Founders Jason Evans (vocals), Simon Davies (Bass), Reece Worth (Guitar), Ryan Davis (Drums), and Wilson Padmos (Keys) channel up inspiration from such diverse acts as Sublime, Stevie Wonder, The Roots, Jimmy Cliff, and Queens of the Stone Age. With such assorted personal tastes, the m˙lange is an incredible genre defying mix that continues to motivate the original line up who, in 2004, invited MC E-Spliff to become a permanent member of the group; a savvy move, adding an edge to the urban sound and enhancing the vocal variety something singer Evans welcomes.
